What we can help with

Support covers everything about NotchIsland: installation problems, macOS Gatekeeper warnings, widgets not appearing, permissions (Accessibility, Screen Recording, or Bluetooth), performance questions, purchase and download issues, and refunds. NotchIsland is built and supported by one developer — you're writing to the person who wrote the code, not a ticket queue.

Most messages get a reply within 24–48 hours. Bug reports on GitHub are usually triaged faster, since they land directly in the development workflow alongside the code.

Reporting a bug

The fastest way to get a fix is to include three things: your macOS version (Apple menu → About This Mac), your Mac model (for example, MacBook Pro 14” M3), and what you expected to happen versus what actually happened. A screenshot or short screen recording helps enormously. If the app crashed, the report macOS shows afterwards is worth attaching too.

Refunds

If NotchIsland isn't for you, email us within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund you in full — no questions asked, no forms to fill in. Include the email address you used at checkout so we can find your order. Refunds are processed through Polar, our payment provider, and typically land back on your card within 5–10 business days. Since NotchIsland is pay-what-you-want, you can also just try it free first and pay later if it earns a place on your Mac.

Before you email

Two common questions have instant answers. If macOS says the app is “damaged” or from an unverified developer, that's Gatekeeper flagging an app distributed outside the App Store — the Install Guide shows the one-line terminal fix. And if a widget seems missing, check that NotchIsland has Accessibility permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security. For everything else, the FAQ covers compatibility, pricing, and privacy.
